Contractors have started work on the ceiling of the building, which is being built near to the park's tennis courts thanks to funding from the Football Foundation and Northampton Borough Council.

Natalie Lawrence, Northampton Borough Council's senior sports development officer, said: "The Racecourse is the largest outdoor sporting facility in the county and it is only fitting it should boast the best changing rooms.
